|Property Name:||Balsley House|
|Address:||220 N. Second Street|
|Status:||Very early structure – Starting to deteriorate|
One of the earliest structures still standing on N. Second Street, what is historically known as the Balsley House is reminiscent of the building stock of the early borough of Harrisburg. Having been vacant for a number of years, the house is showing signs of deterioration and if not attended to could result in demolition by neglect. The house’s setting provided a stark contrast to the sleekly designed and neighboring River Street Garage.
