David J. Morrison

Executive Director

David Morrison has been a leader in Pennsylvania governmental, educational, and non-profit affairs for more than 40 years.  He has been involved with the Historic Harrisburg Association in various capacities since 1986.

Thomas B. Darr

President of the Board of Directors

Tom Darr is an established leader with extensive experience in state government.  Tom has held various positions with the Historic Harrisburg Association since 2012.


Christopher A. Zyroll

Assistant Executive Director

Chris has been with the Historic Harrisburg Association since 2013.  He has severed as the Association’s Office Administrator, Membership Director, Operations Director and now currently serves as the Assistant Executive Director. When Chris is not working at Historic Harrisburg, he can be found behind the membership desk at Sam’s Club.
Ashley Crist

Communications Director

Ashley comes from the political side of Harrisburg, having worked downtown as a lobbyist for years. Prior to her political work, she worked with the PA Chiefs of Police Association, handling much of their communications and events. She has a BA from York College in Communications and Public Relations and is stepping back into her passion for PR by joining the Historic Harrisburg Association as the Communications Director.

Haley Huffman

Collections Coordinator

Haley currently serves as the Collection Coordinator at the Historic Harrisburg  Association, she first joined our team in January 2021 as an archival and library science intern. After receiving a bachelor’s degree in English literature from Millersville University, she began pursuing a Master’s degree in Library and Information Science at Clarion University, from where she expects to graduate in May 2023. When she’s not at HHA, you can find her browsing the aisles of a local bookstore or hiking on a local trail.

Cale Kennedy

Social Media Coordinator

Cale joined the Historic Harrisburg Association in 2021 and is currently the Social Media Coordinator. Prior to his employment at Historic Harrisburg Association, Cale had an internship at Miller’s Insurance Agency. In 2020 Cale received a bachelor’s degree in Communication Studies from West Chester University. When not at the office you can find Cale at a local coffee shop reading a novel.

Braxton Lacy

Office Administrator

Braxton holds a BS in Strategic Communications from West Virginia University, where he spent much of his time with the brotherhood of Sigma Alpha Mu raising funds for the Alzheimer’s Association. In his spare time, he can be found with his faithful pup Maxwell, who he still hopes will learn to roll over sometime before the age of 10. Braxton has been with the Historic Harrisburg Association since November of 2021.

Jeb Stuart

Preservation Advisor

A Harrisburg native, Jeb Stuart’s career has included the early administration of the city’s Architectural Review Board, preparation of numerous National Register Nominations, and participation in Certified Historic Rehabilitation Projects.
