Due to unusually high demand for the Historic Harrisburg Association Landmark Tour: Harrisburg State Hospital, we were able to add an additional tour group on Saturday, June 19th from 12:15 PM to 2:15 PM.

The LAST public tour of its kind! Join Historic Harrisburg Association on Saturday, June 19 at 10:00 AM for a walking landmark tour of the Harrisburg State Hospital, formerly known as the Pennsylvania State Lunatic Hospital.

Created as an asylum for the mentally ill in the Commonwealth in 1845, the Hospital was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1986 and remains on Historic Harrisburg Association’s 2021 “Watch List” as a priority for preservation efforts.

Join HHA for this exciting and informative tour before the Hospital is closed to public tours for the unforeseeable future!

Ticket costs are $15 per person, $10 for HHA members, and $5 for students.

Ticket sales go live on Monday, April 26th! Check back to purchase your tickets while they last!

*****Covid-19 Precautions: Face masks are required for walking tours and social distancing measures are expected to be maintained by staff and visitors.
