SUMMARY:Fourth Monday Program: 100 Years of Black History (Rescheduled)
DESCRIPTION:Local Black History experts Calobe Jackson Jr.\, Barbara
 Barksdale\, and Elizabeth Jefferies will present a program on Monday\,
 March 30th\, tracing the evolution of Black History Month from its
 establishment in 1926 as "Negro History Week\," when Harrisburg was among
 the handful of communities nationwide that staged events that first
 year.\n\nHarrisburg's Negro History Week event in 1926 took place at the
 Second Baptist Church at 424 Forster Street. In addition to describing that
 program and its participants\, the speakers will touch on milestones in
 local Black history through the decades\, ending with a tribute to the 21st
 century contributions of the late Lenwood Sloan.\n\nHistoric Harrisburg
